HSE South West has confirmed that an advisory discouraging attendance at the UHK emergency department has been lifted.
On the 17th June, the Health Service Executive advised that only urgent cases should go to the ED at University Hospital Kerry (UHK).
The request was made because the hospital had reported unusually high levels of activity.
The HSE asked the public in Kerry first to consider all other care options such as GPs, pharmacists and the SouthDoc out-of-hours service.
In a statement today, HSE South West said this advice is no longer in place.
