The HSE is advising people to only attend University Hospital Kerry’s emergency department in urgent cases.
There are 31 patients waiting on trolleys in UHK today.
That’s according to figures provided by the Irish Nurses and Midwives’ Organisation.
19 people are on trolleys in UHK’s emergency department, while a further 12 patients are waiting on trolleys in wards elsewhere within the hospital.
