HSE accused of failing to engage on staffing for new Killarney Community Nursing Unit since last May

The INMO claims that the HSE has not engaged with it since last May on staffing needs at the new Killarney Community Nursing Unit.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) argues that it would be unsafe to transfer any services to the new buildings before staffing levels are clarified.

INMO industrial relations executive for Kerry, Kathryn Courtney says members are increasingly frustrated with, what they describe as, the HSE’s lack of engagement.

Ms Courtney alleges that the INMO has written repeatedly to the HSE since January about the matter but has yet to receive a reply.

HSE South West has been contacted for comment.
