The Health and Safety Authority is investigating a fatal workplace incident in West Limerick.
A man in his early 20s was pronounced dead at the scene at a property in Athea yesterday.
He has been named locally as 21-year-old Brendan Brosnan.
Gardaí and emergency services responded to a fatal workplace accident in Athea at approximately 8am on Monday.

It’s understood a chimney wall fell on him, while he was working on a derelict house.
Gardaí say Mr Brosnan's body was removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Limerick for a post-mortem examination.
In a statement to Radio Kerry, the HSA said it’s aware of the fatal incident and has launched an investigation into the circumstances.
It added no further information is available at this time.
Gardaí say a file will be prepared for the coroner.
