Emergency services at scene of house explosion in Tralee

Tralee gardaí have confirmed a house has exploded in the Manor West area of the town.

It's understood the explosion took place just after 5pm.

The explosion occurred in a detached house near the Manor West Hotel.

Initial reports suggest all occupants of the house have been safely removed.

No other building has been affected.

Three units of Kerry Fire Service are at the scene from Tralee and Castleisland.

Gardaí have closed all roads in the area - so there are considerable traffic delays.

Emergency services are also attending.
