The Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) has published a broadly positive report about an IPAS centre in Killarney.
Two health watchdog inspectors undertook a short-term announced inspection of Park Lodge last November (26 November 2025).
The International Protection Accommodation Service (IPAS) centre in Ballycasheen accommodates single women in shared bedrooms.
It was judged against 25 national standards.
The inspectors deemed Park Lodge to be compliant with 20 of the standards, substantially compliant with four, and partially compliant with one more.
IPAS says it is currently in the process of phasing out the use of bunk beds for adults, and that it has begun reducing resident numbers in the centre.
