The health watchdog has issued a positive review of St. Joseph's Nursing Home in Kenmare.
The Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) carried out an unannounced inspection at the South Kerry facility in January (12/01/2026).
It was deemed compliant with eleven of the twelve Health Act regulations against with it was assessed.
Its complaints procedure was graded substantially compliant.
Management agreed to conduct reviews as soon as possible and no later than 20 days after receipt of the complaint.
The inspector said there was “relaxed and friendly atmosphere” in the centre, and that residents reported they were very happy there.
