The High Court hearings between a Kerry TD and the Government concluded yesterday afternoon.
Sinn Féin TD Pa Daly brought the constitutional challenge against the Government in the High Court regarding the appointment of “super junior” Ministers who regularly attend cabinet meetings.
However, the Attorney General disputes this and says that the legal action against super junior ministers attending cabinet meetings is, “a political challenge to the integrity of the government.”
Speaking after the hearings concluded, Deputy Daly said he looked forward to the court bringing clarity to issue and welcomed that the President of the High Court would prioritise judgment given the case’s public interest importance.
