A hearing to appoint a liquidator to Killarney Brewing & Distilling Company has been postponed.
The examiner appointed to the company had made an application to the High Court this morning.
The decision on the case before the High Court has been postponed until Monday.
It’s understood this is because of a disagreement between the company and the Revenue Commissioners as to who should be appointed as the liquidator.
Killarney Brewing & Distilling Company had opened a €24 million brewery and visitor centre in Fossa three years ago.
It employs more than 50 people who were told yesterday that the business would cease operations.
Plans to merge with a US strategic partner fell through earlier this year and the company went into examinership in April.
It had been hoped that examinership would help secure the company’s future by attracting new investment.
