Funding has been approved for a Healthy Ireland co-ordinator for Kerry.
The announcement of the new post, which will be funded by the Department of Health, was made at a monthly meeting of Kerry County Council.
The role of the Healthy Ireland Co-ordinator will involve the facilitation, implementation and promotion of the policies and objectives of the council for the advancement of the local health and wellbeing agenda.
