Gusts of over 110km/h were recorded in Kerry last month.
That’s according to Met Éireann’s climate statement for April.
The data shows that winds of 60 knots, or 111km/h were recorded at Valentia Observatory on Saturday the 4th during Storm Dave.
Met Éireann’s climate statement shows Kerry recorded the highest monthly rainfall nationally, at 151.1 millimeters.
This was 39% above the South Kerry weather stations long-term average, and was the wettest April in Kerry since 2018.
Six "very wet days" were recorded in the county last month, the highest nationwide - this is when 10 or more millimetres of rain falls in a day.
Valentia Observatory recorded the lowest monthly sunshine hours for April at 136.6 hours, a daily mean of 4.62 hours per day.
Meanwhile, Kerry recorded the highest monthly mean temperature nationally last month, at 10.4 degrees Celsius, 0.9 degrees above its long-term average.
