The presidential candidates of both government parties have refused to be drawn on a possible voter pact.

Both Fianna Fáil's Jim Gavin and Fine Gael's Heather Humphreys were canvassing separately in Kerry today.

A voter pact would see them ask supporters to give their second preference vote to the other government candidate.
