GoSafe cameras to be installed at two level crossings in Kerry

GoSafe cameras will be installed at two rail level crossings in Kerry.

It comes as Iarnród Éireann detected 31 incidents at such crossings nationwide so far this year.

11 resulted in someone being injured or the railway crossing being damaged, according to Irish Rail.

The railway operator is hosting an information morning at Minish level crossing, outside Killarney, as part of International Level Crossing Awareness Day (ILCAD).

Irish Rail says cameras will be installed at this crossing and in Farranfore, to detect speeding and drivers ignoring red lights.
