Gardaí remain unable to comment on third party information regarding the Michael Gaine investigation.
Reports in yesterday's Irish Times stated that Gardaí investigating the disappearance and murder of Michael Gaine have requested the assistance of forensic investigators from the United States.
The investigators, Suzanna Ryan and Jared Bradley, are experts in using M Vac technology,of which company Mr Bradley is chief executive of.
This technology was used to review historical evidence in the Sophie Toscan du Plantier case in July of this year.
