Gardaí reminding people to microchip dogs after springer spaniel stolen in Ballybunion

Gardaí are reminding people of the importance of microchipping their dogs after a springer spaniel was stolen in Ballybunion.

The brown and white spaniel was taken from the yard of a house in Kilconley, Ballybunion shortly before midnight last Tuesday night.

Two people were seen fleeing the scene.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information, or if anyone is offered this dog, to contact Ballybunion garda station on 068 27104

Garda Cathy Murphy says there's been a huge increase in dog thefts, but microchipping your dog means it can be returned when it's found.
