Gardaí have reissued their appeal for witnesses after a teenager died following a crash in Lixnaw at the weekend.
This single vehicle collision happened on the L-1029 road at Deerpark, Lixnaw on Saturday after 5.30pm.
The driver, a man aged in his late teens, and sole occupant of the car was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries; he passed away this morning.
Gardaí say they are continuing to appeal for witnesses following the fatal collision.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the single-vehicle collision at approximately 5.40pm on Saturday, and garda forensic collision investigators carried out an examination of the scene.
Gardaí confirmed that the teenager, who was injured in the collision, died this morning.
They are appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward.
Gardaí are asking any road users who may have dash-cam and were travelling in the area on Saturday (August 2nd) between 5.15pm and 5.45pm to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
