Gardaí are looking to unite jewellery found on a South Kerry beach, with its long-lost owners.
Sergeant Fidelma O’Leary was contacted by a woman who had found the jewellery, when clearing out the family house following her parents’ passing.
The woman had remembered hearing her parents say they found the woman’s watch and woman’s ring, on Inny Strand, Murreigh, Waterville, in 1970.

She asked Sgt O’Leary for help in finding its rightful owners, who in turn requested the assistance of local jeweller Heather O’Sullivan of John Ross Jewellers in Tralee.
When she inspected the jewellery up close, Heather O’Sullivan made this discovery:
Sgt Fidelma O’Leary says although the initial date she was given may be wrong, it would be great to reunite it with the original owners.
