Gardaí issued six fines during a targeted checkpoint in Tralee, which was carried out following complaints of dangerous driving.

The Kerry Roads Policing Unit held a checkpoint at the junction of St Brendan’s Road and Monavalley; this followed complaints made by locals stating motorists were running red lights there.

During the checkpoint, Gardaí issued three fines for breaking a red light and a further three fines for holding a mobile phone while driving.
