Gardaí are investigating an alleged assault in Killarney that left a man with serious injuries.
The alleged incident occurred in the early hours of last Sunday morning on Plunkett Street.
Radio Kerry understands that the victim and his brother may have been set upon by a group of up to 10 people.
It’s understood that as a result of the attack, the man’s nose was broken, he was left with several facial fractures and that he required stitches to his face.
Gardaí say the man, who’s in his forties, was taken to University Hospital Kerry where he was treated for serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Gardaí confirmed that they received a report of the alleged assault that occurred on Plunkett Street, Killarney last Sunday, November 9th at around 2.35am.
They say investigations are ongoing.
