Gardaí are appealing to road users in Kerry to stay safe over the festive period.
Regional Chief Superintendent for the Southern Garda Region, Colm O’Sullivan made the plea.
Figures presented by the Chief Superintendent show an increase in road traffic incidents in the county this year.
Almost 270 people in Kerry have been arrested for driving under the influence of drink or drugs as of December 15th.
Meanwhile, eight people have lost their lives on the county’s roads.
