Mike Gaine’s family have made an appeal for anyone who knows anything about his whereabouts to come forward.
Mikes wife Janice and his sister Noreen O Regan said the Gaine family are devastated by what has happened.
The video appeal was released by An Garda Síochána following a press statement made by Superintendent John Ryan outside Kenmare Garda Station this afternoon.
Superintendent Ryan reiterated the facts of the disappearance and referenced the decision that was made yesterday by investigating gardaí to reclassify the case to one of homicide.
He again called on anyone who may have any information on what might have happened to Mike Gaine to please come forward and share that with gardaí.
Shortly after the press conference, gardaí released a video plea by Mike's wife Janice and sister Noreen saying that the family are devastated and shattered by what has happened, and that they want answers.
They again appealed for anyone with any information to please come forward.
