Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a collision in Tralee this morning in which a cyclist was seriously injured.
The collision involved a car and bike and occurred on the Oakpark Road just after 7am.
The road had been closed since this morning, however, Gardaí say it’s due to reopen to traffic around now (1pm).
Emergency services responded to this collision just after 7am.
The cyclist, a man aged in his 40s, was taken to University Hospital Kerry with serious injuries.
Gardaí say no other injuries were reported.
They are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
Investigating Gardaí are asking any road users with camera footage, including dash-cam, who were travelling in the Oakpark Road area between 6:45am and 7:15am today to make this footage available to them.
