Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious crash in North Kerry.
The single-vehicle collision happened on the L1029 at Deerpark, Lixnaw, at approximately 5.40 yesterday evening (Saturday, 2nd August).
The driver, a man in his late teens, was the sole occupant of the car.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene, and the driver was airlifted to Cork University Hospital with serious injuries.
The road was closed overnight until midday today, when Garda Forensic Collision Investigators had completed an examination of the scene.
Gardaí are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Investigating officers have asked any road users who may have dash-cam footage and were travelling in the area between 5.15 and 5.45pm yesterday to come forward with it.
