Garda clarity sought on why See Something Say Something still not rolled out in Castleisland

A Fianna Fáil councillor is urging An Garda Síochána to roll out the See Something, Say Something initiative to Castleisland.

Fionnán Fitzgerald aired his disappointment that the scheme still hasn’t been rolled out in the locality, at the recent Castleisland-Corca Dhuibhne MD meeting.

He asked for clarity on whether the area is deemed not to be in need for the service, or if Gardaí are not concerned about the town.

Cllr Fitzgerald believes see something say something is worthwhile and needed in Castleisland.

The motion to write to Gardaí seeking an update on the scheme, was seconded by Fine Gael councillor, Bobby O’Connell.
