The funeral arrangements have been announced for Kenmare farmer Michael Gaine.
Mr Gaine was reported missing from his farm near Carraig East on March 20th, and the investigation was upgraded to a homicide investigation in April.
The farm on Carraig East was declared a crime scene after the discovery of human remains on May 16th.
Following forensic analysis the remains were confirmed to be that of the missing man.
Mr Gaine will be reposing at Finnegan’s Funeral Home Kenmare on Friday from 2pm - with Rosary at 7 o'clock.
The Requiem Mass for Michael Gaine will take place on Saturday at 10.30am at Holy Cross Church, Kenmare, followed by burial at a private resting place.
In lieu of flowers, donations are being asked for Kerry Mountain Rescue or the Sarda Search and Rescue Dog Association
