Funding awarded for Inspired's Blue Loop project

A grant of €75,000 has been awarded to Inspired, the Tralee-based community project for young adults with Intellectual Disabilities.

The money was awarded through the FLAG South West Programme, administered by Bord Iascaigh Mhara, to develop their Blue Loop marine plastic recycling hub at Scotia Village, Tralee.

The project transforms discarded fishing nets and marine plastic waste into valuable new products, while creating meaningful training and employment opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities.
