Fully vaccinated Kerry woman who’s living in the US criticises Ireland’s hotel quarantine rules

A Kerry woman, who is fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and living in the US, is criticising Ireland's hotel quarantine rules.

Niamh Hartnett is from Ballybunion, but is living in New York, where a third of people have received both doses of the vaccines to protect against COVID-19.

Ms Hartnett has been fully vaccinated since early February and now she wants to return to Kerry to visit her elderly parents.

However, from Thursday onwards people travelling to Ireland from the United States must quarantine in a designated Dublin hotel.
