Full support from local and central government is needed to solve ongoing issues for the people of Beaufort.

That's according to Kerry county councillor, Michael Cahill.

He says continued interruptions to the water supply is top of the list of disasters that needs to be dealt with, but there are other long standing issues for residents of Beaufort.

Cllr Cahill adds the local graveyard is close to maximum capacity, and is subject to flooding, while there is no children's playground in the area and there are health issues arising from the sewerage systems.

The Fianna Fáil councillor says he will be raising the issue of ongoing water outages and the unacceptable sewerage scheme in Beaufort at the upcoming meeting of Kerry County Council.
