Former Senator Ned O'Sullivan has stepped down as Chair of Listowel Writers Week, after two years in the role.
He'll remain on as one of the directors of the festival.
He's been replaced by poet and writer Mary Kennelly, who's been involved in the event for many years, and held the role of chair on a previous occasion.
Mr O'Sullivan steered Writers Week through a difficult transition period, but believes it's on a much stronger footing now, as it celebrates its 55th year:
