Foodshare Kerry was named the overall winner of the 2025 Community Awards last night.
The Kerry Community Awards aim to recognise the work of the community and voluntary sector in improving social, economic, cultural, and environmental quality of life in Kerry.
The 18th edition of the annual awards took place last night, with 20 groups receiving awards at the ceremony in the Rose Hotel in Tralee.
The overall winner, Foodshare Kerry, was founded in 2015 with the aim of alleviating food poverty and food waste, to provide surplus food to those in need.

Milltown History and Heritage was named Best Community Start-Up 2025, for its efforts in protecting and promoting local heritage of a town that’s experiencing rapid expansion.
Ten groups won gold awards and ten won silver awards.
