The first section of the new Tralee Northern Relief Road will open next week.
The 1.25km of road will open from Forge Cross Roundabout to the newly-constructed roundabout at Listellick on the Tralee to Abbeydorney road.
This stretch provides a link to the Tralee bypass and MTU Kerry campus, while adjacent cycleway and walkway along the entire route are included.
The new road will open to traffic at 11am on Monday (February 16th).
Phase 2, between the R556 Abbeydorney Road at Listellick to Bracker O’Regan Road, is currently at planning and design stage.
The Tralee Norther Relief Road project, which commenced early last year is funded by the Department of Transport.
