The firm behind a bid for Stobart Air has raised an issue with the paperwork with police in the Isle of Man.
A report in the Daily Telegraph states Ettyl alerted police to concerns it has about documents supplied to one of the possible backers of the acquisition.
Stobart Air currently operates the Aer Lingus regional franchise, which includes the Kerry-Dublin PSO flight.
