Fenit RNLI will host a free community Open Day next weekend.
It will take place on Sunday, September 7th, from 1 to 4pm.
Visitors can tour the lifeboat station, meet the volunteer crew, and see the lifesaving equipment up close.
Highlights include a planned helicopter rescue display, water safety demonstrations, and plenty of family fun activities.
There’ll also be live music and children’s entertainment among other activities.
The station says the day is a way to thank the public, whose support keeps volunteers on call 24/7, saving lives at sea.
Mary Browne, Volunteer Fenit RNLI Lifeboat Press Officer, said:
“Our volunteers are on call 24 hours a day, every day of the year. This is only possible thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters. We’re excited to open our doors and show the community how their donations and support make a real difference. Whether it’s saving lives at sea or helping to keep our station running, it’s all made possible by the people of Fenit and beyond.”
