Fenit RNLI has dedicated its new defibrillator to the memory of the late Luke Silles.
The teenager passed away in UHK in May after getting into difficulties in the sea while swimming in Fenit the previous week.
Fenit RNLI recently received the new defibrillator, following a number of donations; and say the mantra of the new unit is "Live for Luke".
The group says the addition of the lifesaving equipment, which is located in its lifeboat station, is a vital resource for the local community.
Fenit Lifeboat Station is open 9am – 5pm during the week, and during evenings and weekends to facilitate training, meetings and when responding to call outs.
The group has thanked Tim Kelliher, Giles Kelliher & Ivan Groves for the support in providing the new equipment.
