Tralee Gardaí have issued a warning about fake utility callers to people’s homes.
Garda Patricia Fitzpatrick said money has been stolen from homes in Tralee by people, wearing high viz vests and carrying clipboards, who claim to be from a utility company or the Council.
The scammers look for money to carry out inspections and then disappear claiming they’re going to the car to get a receipt.

Garda Fitzpatrick said no company will send someone to your home without prior notice.
