Three Kerry schools will see their extension projects progress throughout this and next year.
St Oliver’s Primary School, Killarney; Pobalscoil Inbhear Scéine, Kenmare and Nano Nagle Special School in Listowel have been provided with investment to progress their projects.
They are among 105 school building projects nationwide to progress to tender and/or construction during 2026 and 2027 under the National Development Plan.
The announcement has been welcomed by Minister for Children Norma Foley, Fianna Fáil TD Michael Cahill, Fine Gael Senator Mike Kennelly and Independent deputy Danny Healy-Rae.
St Oliver’s Primary School, Killarney’s extension will provide accommodation for 3 SEN rooms, 7 SET rooms and 42 additional places.
Pobalscoil Inbhear Scéine in Kenmare will get an extension including 2 SEN rooms and 3 specialist rooms, while Nano Nagle Special School in Listowel will provide 4 SEN classrooms.
