Events continue in Kerry to mark National Biodiversity Week

Events continue in Kerry to mark National Biodiversity Week.

A conference on the county's wildlife and biodiversity will take place this Friday and Saturday at the Cuan Building at MTU North Campus, Tralee.

It will include discussions on findings into species including the Kerry slug, the natterjack toad and the rarely seen Risso's dolphin.

Other events include a bioblitz at Killarney National Park.

A bioblitz is an attempt to record as many species in an area within a time frame.

This challenge continues at the national park until Sunday.
