The annual Tralee Municipal District ceremony to commemorate Easter Rising is taking place today.
It marks the 110th anniversary of the 1916 Easter Rising.
The event takes place at 12 noon in Páirc an Phiarsaigh, Tralee.
Tralee’s Deputy Mayor, Cllr. Angie Baily will give the oration and the 1916 Proclamation will be recited.
Elsewhere, Kerry Sinn Féin will also hold its annual Easter Sunday Commemoration tomorrow.
The march will assemble at 12 noon at the Pikeman Monument in Tralee and proceed to Rath Cemetery.
The event will be chaired by Cllr Robert Brosnan with a keynote address from Belfast-based trade union activist Jim ‘Flash’ McVeigh.
