€86,000 is being made available for Kerry communities this year through Ørsted’s national Community Benefit Fund.
Ørsted operates three active wind farms in Kilgarvan village, Sillahertane and Inchincoosh.
The company has set up this fund as a way to invest in the communities that they operate in.

Communities within a maximum distance radius of 7km to 10km can apply for funding for various projects.
Last year, a total of €50,000 was awarded in Kerry for community initiatives by Ørsted.
