€500,000 in supports approved for Gaeltacht businesses

Supports of over half a million euro have been approved by Údarás na Gaeltachta in recent weeks for Gaeltacht businesses.

They’ve gone to 213 companies in the form of Online Trading Vouchers and COVID-19 Business Continuity Vouchers.

In the Kerry, Cork and Waterford Gaeltacht area €130,000 was approved for 52 businesses.

There were 28 applications approved for the Online Trading Voucher Scheme, and 24 for the Business Continuity Voucher Scheme.

The majority of applications approved in Kerry, Cork and Waterford were for businesses in the food and drink, tourism, and manufacturing sectors.
