€36,000 to tackle flooding on Ring of Kerry Road in Cahersiveen

Almost €36,000 has been allocated by the OPW to address flooding on the main Ring of Kerry road in Cahersiveen.

Homes have been flooded on Valentia road on previous occasions.

The works will involve the replacement of 50 metres of stream culvert road crossing and road resurfacing.

Fianna Fáil Councillor Michael Cahill said this is a major health and safety issue which should have been tackled many years ago.
