€260,000 allocated to enhance Kerry streetscapes and shopfronts

€260,000 has been allocated to enhance streetscapes and shopfronts in Kerry.

Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys announced a new €7 million fund for over 50 rural towns and villages nationwide.

The Streetscape Enhancement Initiative will see local authorities collaborate with businesses and property owners to improve the facades of their buildings.

The announcement has been welcomed by Deputy Government Chief Whip Fine Gael TD Brendan Griffin and Minister for Education and Fianna Fáil TD Norma Foley.
