The sale of the former O’Sullivan’s Bar in Fenit has officially gone through for just over a quarter of a million euro.

Selling agents McQuinn Property Services has confirmed the successful completion of the sale from Kerry County Council to a local businessman.

In March last year, Kerry county councillors agreed the sale of the site of the historic pub for €255,000 to Conor Deasy.

The council had bought the long-derelict site in 2018 to re-align the road into the village, and McQuinn Property Services Ltd says the site requires complete renovation.

The conveyancing process had been ongoing since but has now concluded, with the selling agents describing the price as very satisfactory.
