Over €100,000 in government funding has been allocated to develop and maintain an outdoor recreation facility in Kerry.
It’s part of €4 million announced by Minister Dara Calleary, under the Department of Rural and Community Development and Coillte’s strategic plan (2022-2026).
Glantenassig Forest Park has been allocated €120,000 for the final phase of car park and entrance road improvement works.
The over 450 hectare park, is located in a sheltered valley among the Slieve Mish mountains on the Dingle Peninsula.
The funding has been welcomed by Children’s Minister and Kerry Fianna Fáil TD Norma Foley, and her party colleague Deputy Michael Cahill.
