Dublin man Andy Rodgers has been named the Rose Escort of the Year at this year’s Rose of Tralee Festival.
The 30-year-old firefighter has been escorting UAE Rose Celine O’Meara, and is joined in Tralee by his parents and his ten-year-old daughter, Sophia.
The 32 Rose Escorts were suited and booted for the festival by Benetti Menswear, and the winning escort Andy Rodgers will now receive a €1,000 prize.

He was announced as the winner on the first Rose of Tralee televised selection night last night.
More than 100 men between 21-31 years old applied to become Rose Escorts at this year’s festival.
