The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has reduced the number of COVID-19 cases in Kerry by two.
It means as of midnight Sunday, the total number of confirmed cases in the county stands at 324.
The HPSC says that in the process of validating data and reviewing addresses, totals for a county many change due to cases being reassigned to another county.
County-by-county figures are based on the permanent addresses of people who have contracted the virus.
However, when the county-by-county figure is updated in the next one to two days, it may be expected that there will be a rise in Kerry cases as the HPSC says the new cases confirmed today include cases from this county.
Nationally, no new deaths were reported to the HPSC today - the number who have died from the virus stands at 1,777.
There have been 92 more cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 28,201.
The HPSC says of the 92 new cases confirmed this evening, 31 are in Tipperary, 17 in Dublin, 7 each in Clare and Wexford, 5 in Kildare, with the remaining 25 cases in Kerry, Carlow, Cavan, Cork, Donegal, Galway, Kilkenny, Limerick, Louth, Meath, Monaghan and Wicklow.
The HPSC doesn't state how many cases are in Kerry.
These national figures - which include details of the 92 new cases - cover the period up to midnight, yesterday, August 24th.
The time difference between the county-per-county figure (which is up to midnight Sunday) and the national number (which covers the period up to midnight yesterday) explains why there is an apparent discrepancy in the HPSC statement where the county-by-county figure shows a drop of 2 for Kerry but the national figure includes new Kerry cases.
