Gardaí in Kerry stopped a driver for speeding and found they had a cocktail of drugs in their system, and also had no licence or insurance.
Yesterday afternoon, the Kerry Roads Policing Unit were carrying out a speed checkpoint on the N21.
They detected a vehicle travelling at 132km/h in what is a 100km/h zone.
Gardaí stopped the vehicle and found the driver had no insurance and no driving licence.
The driver also tested positive for drugs including cannabis, cocaine, methamphetamines and opiates.
The driver was arrested for intoxicated driving and the vehicle was seized; the driver is due before the courts.
