The Dingle Coastguard Unit, as well as the Kerry Mountain Rescue Team have been called to the aid of a hill-walker injured on the Tom Crean Endurance Walk.
The alert was raised shortly before 12 noon today and the rescue is expected to take several hours.
The incident took place about 2 kilometers off the Conor Pass road.

The hill walker was transferred to an ambulance around 2.30pm and transported to Kerry University Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
