A west Kerry-based artist fears funding will be cut to artists due to the Arts Council IT scandal.
The Comptroller and Auditor General has revealed that the Arts Council spent almost €7 million (€6.675 million) on an unsuccessful IT system to process grant applications.
Originally planned in 2019 to cost €3 million and finish in two-and-a-half years, the project ultimately saw €5.3 million written off and, if it hadn't been abandoned, wouldn't have been finished until 2028.
Andrew Duggan is a visual artist in Dingle; he says artists have to work through huge amounts of bureaucracy to get even small grants.
