Details of the victorious Kerry team’s homecoming have been announced.
The footballers will arrive in Tralee at around 6:15pm, and in Killarney approximately 8:30pm.
The team will travel by open-top bus via Boherbee and Castle Street to a Welcome Home reception on stage at the Ashe Hall on Denny Street, which is due to begin at 6:30pm.
Live music on the Denny Street platform starts from 5pm.
Denny Street, The Mall and Ivy Terrace will be closed to traffic from 4pm-8:30pm.
No parking is permitted today on Denny Street, from Park Lane to Ashe Hall.
All vehicles must be removed from Denny Street and the Ashe Hall area by 2:30pm.
Kerry County Council says any cars left after this time may be towed.
In Killarney, the team is expected to arrive at around at 8:30pm.
They’ll travel by open-top bus from Fitzgerald Stadium, via Lewis Road and College Street, to a reception at the Glebe Car Park, beginning at around 9pm.
Entertainment on stage starts at 7:30pm.
College Street will be closed to traffic from 4:30pm to eleven 11pm.
There will be no parking on either side of College Street from the junction with Fairhill to Plunkett Street from 4:30.
Again, the Council warns that any cars left in the Glebe Car Park today may be removed.
After the reception, the team will continue the celebrations at the Gleneagle Hotel, with a Victory Super Céilí and disco for supporters.
Doors open at 9pm.
Patrons are asked to cooperate with stewards and to respect residents and their property at all times.
